Some health conditions are considered contraindications for using the Infrared Sauna.

Indications where Infrared Sauna sessions are not appropriate:
- Congestive Heart Failure
- Fever
- Hypertension
- Hypotension
- Impaired Coronary Circulation
- Insensitivity to Heat
- Infection
- Joint Inflammation
- Pregnancy
- Pacemaker / Defibrillator
Those with chronic conditions or diseases associated with a reduced ability to sweat or perspire should not use the Infrared Sauna. These conditions include:
- Central Nervous System Tumors
- Diabetes with Neuropathy
- Hemophilia
- Individuals Prone to Bleeding
- Multiple Sclerosis
- Parkinson’s
The Infrared Sauna should not be used by those using medications / drugs which may impair the body’s natural heat loss mechanisms:
- Alcohol
- Antihistamines
- Barbiturates
- Beta-blockers
- Blood Pressure Medications
- Diuretics
Indications where clients should consult their doctor before using the Infrared Sauna:
- Children
- People with Metal Pins
- People with Rods
- People with Artificial Joints
- People with Surgical Implants
